Haiti is a country located on the island of Hispaniola in the Caribbean, with a population estimated to be around 11 million people. It is known for its vibrant art scene, historical sites, and beautiful beaches. The official languages spoken in Haiti are Haitian Creole and French.

The presence of British or Irish people in Haiti is significant due to humanitarian efforts, cultural exchange, and development projects. Many British or Irish individuals participate in volunteer programs, work with NGOs, or support community-based initiatives in Haiti. They contribute to the local economy, engage in cultural exchange, and appreciate the rich Haitian culture and resilience.
In the event of the most unfortunate circumstances, should an individual from England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, or any non-native origin pass away in Haiti, Rosy International's Haiti team is ready to assist in repatriating their remains (including ashes) back to the UK or Ireland. We can arrange collection from Port-au-Prince, Carrefour, Delmas, Cap-Haïtien, Pétion-Ville or any other specified location in Haiti.
Conversely, the Haitian community in the UK is relatively small. They may be dispersed across different regions, but London is likely to have a small Haitian community.
