Wales, a proud constituent nation of the United Kingdom with its dynamic capital in Cardiff, had a population of approximately 3.1 million in 2023. The Welsh diaspora is considerable, with an estimated 120,000 Welsh expatriates living abroad, primarily in England, Scotland, Australia, and the United States, as per the Welsh Government. Yet, wherever they roam, their bond with Wales remains steadfast.
When faced with unfortunate events leading to death - due to accidents, sepsis, diseases, among others - there might be a need to bring them back to their Welsh homeland, invoking the delicate process of body repatriation. Additionally, overseas visits to iconic landmarks like the Statue of Liberty in New York City could occasionally result in unexpected incidents requiring repatriation.
